Open positions and actions
Positions contains broker positions on the selected account, including trades opened by an EA.
How it works
Count and refresh: The number beside Positions counts open positions. It is independent of the Experts count. An EA can be running with no open trades, and a stopped EA can leave positions open.
Identify the trade: Ticket identifies the broker record. Symbol, direction and lots identify its exposure. Comment and Magic, where available, help relate a trade to automation; compare these with the EA log and exact ticket.
Profit and costs: Unrealized profit changes with prices. Swap and commission columns show separate recorded costs where supplied. Do not infer a final net result from the floating-profit value alone.
Inspect protection: Show SL and TP through Columns to inspect accepted protection levels. Rows are read-only apart from the close action; selecting a row does not open a modification dialog.
Close: The row close control sends a close request for that position. It is a trading action, not a display filter. Wait for completion, then check Closed positions; a network error alone does not prove that a request failed at the broker.
