    Your trading workspace

Welcome to MetaRPC Web Trader. In this tutorial, we will open the trading workspace, switch between connected demo accounts, adjust a chart, and follow one small demo trade from order review to closed history. The screens and trade results are captured from the working application. All trading in this lesson uses a demo account.

  2. 0:23

    Find the terminal Actions button

Start with the control panel. Find your account in the terminals table. The Actions button is the three dots at the far right of that account row, beside its connection status. Use the button on the terminal row, below the group heading. This is where you open the menu shown next.

  3. 0:41

Open Web Trader from your terminal

Start at mrpc dot pro, and open your control panel. In Your terminals, find the account you want to use. Check its login, broker server, and connected status. Open the actions button at the right end of that row, then choose Trade. This opens Web Trader for that terminal. If the terminal is stopped, start it first and wait until its status becomes Connected.

  4. 1:05

    Check the active account

Before placing any order, check the account number and currency at the top of Web Trader. The green connection indicator confirms that the workspace is connected. The chart occupies the center, the watchlist and order ticket are on the right, and your positions and history are below. These panels all belong to the currently selected account.

  5. 1:27

    Open the available accounts list

From the full Web Trader window, look at the very bottom of the narrow left sidebar. The square account icon is in the bottom-left corner. Click it to open My accounts. That is the list we will use next to find and switch between available connected accounts.

  6. 1:44

    Switch connected accounts

Click the account icon at the bottom left to open My accounts. Search for the terminal name, account login, or server. Here, searching for Copier Demo finds our second demo account. Select a running account to switch. A stopped or unavailable terminal must be managed in the control panel first. After switching, always check the header again before trading.

  7. 2:09

    Confirm the switch

The header now shows the follower demo account. Switching accounts changes the account context; it does not copy trades between them. For this lesson, we switch back to our primary demo account before opening an order. Keep this account check as a routine part of your workflow.

  8. 2:27

    Set up your chart

Choose a symbol from the watchlist on the right. The chart and order ticket update to that symbol. Use the timeframe buttons above the chart; here we move from one hour to five minutes. Open Indicators, then enable the indicator you need. In this example, a twenty-period simple moving average appears on the chart. You can remove it using the indicator label above the chart.

  9. 2:52

    Find the trading area

Before entering an order, locate the trading controls in the full window. The order ticket is on the right, directly below the watchlist. It contains the market and pending choices, volume, and Buy and Sell buttons. Below the chart, the trading panel shows Positions, Pending, and Closed positions. Now let us look closely at the order ticket.

  10. 3:14

    Prepare a small demo order

In the order ticket, confirm the symbol and select Market. Set the volume to zero point zero one lots. Open the stop-loss and take-profit section, and enter both price levels. For this recorded example, the stop loss is one point one one five nine zero, and the take profit is one point one two zero one zero. These are demonstration values, not a trade recommendation. Leave one-click trading off so you can review the order.

  11. 3:42

    Review before sending

Click Buy to open the review dialog. Read the account number, direction, symbol, and volume. Check that the stop loss and take profit shown here match the values you entered. The order has not been sent yet. Cancel returns to the ticket; Confirm sends the order to the broker. We confirm this small order on the demo account.

  12. 4:04

    Verify the open position

Open Positions and find the new trade. Our recorded buy opened at one point one one eight one two. The row shows zero point zero one lots and both protection levels. Use Columns if you need to display additional fields. Profit and loss can move while the position is open. The balance, equity, margin used, and available margin are account totals, rather than the result of just one row.

  13. 4:30

    Close the demo position

To close this demo position, use its close control at the far right of the row. Treat that control as an action that sends a close request. Wait for the position to disappear from Positions. Once it has closed, we can check the result in trade history.

  14. 4:47

    Find the Closed positions tab

After closing the demo trade, return to the full Web Trader view. Look below the chart at the row of trading tabs. Closed positions is the third tab, immediately to the right of Pending. Click it to open your trade history. Next, we will zoom in and check the recorded result.

  15. 5:05

    Check the closed trade result

In Closed positions, find the demo trade we just closed. Our trade opened at one point one one eight one two and closed at one point one one eight one zero, with a two-cent demo loss. History lets you compare the open and close times, prices, volume, and result. Check the time-zone label when comparing records.

  16. 5:27

    Use the account logs

Open Logs slash Journal to inspect terminal events and trade execution messages. Search by the trade ticket to isolate this order. The recorded journal contains both its opening and closing events. Logs slash Experts shows program messages from the main account terminal. An attached Expert Advisor runs in a separate terminal, so use that advisor’s own log buttons for its messages. The main account log is not a substitute for the advisor log.

  17. 5:57

    A repeatable workflow

You now have a complete Web Trader workflow: open the correct terminal, verify or switch the account, prepare your chart, review a small demo order, and check the result in positions, history, and the journal. The demo positions used for this recording are closed. Continue practicing on a demo account until each step is familiar.
