EA Experts and Journal logs
Each hosted EA has its own terminal logs, separate from the main account terminal logs.
How it works
Open the correct log: In Experts, use the row’s Experts or Journal button. A popup identifies the selected EA and lets you switch between its two log types without changing the account activity tab.
Experts output: The EA Experts log contains initialization messages, printed input values, strategy messages and trade request results emitted by the EA. Filter by a ticket, error or message fragment when investigating a specific operation.
Terminal Journal: The EA terminal Journal describes its platform lifecycle, broker authorization, synchronization, expert loading and execution errors. It can reveal why an EA did not initialize even when the process is running.
Verify the source: Check the EA name and ID in the log view before interpreting messages. The main account Logs / Experts and Logs / Journal tabs are different sources. Identical account numbers do not mean identical terminal processes.
Refresh and filtering: Auto-refresh updates the displayed log snapshot. Filtering changes only visible rows. If a filter produces no matches, clear it before concluding that logs are empty. Copy log output only after reviewing it for private account details.
Diagnose a demo trade: Confirm successful initialization, then find the open-request result and broker ticket. Locate that ticket in Positions. After closure, find the close-result message and corresponding Closed positions row. A printed intention to trade is not proof of execution.
