Attach an EA in MT5

Attach a compiled EA from your library to an isolated terminal for the selected account.

How it works

Before attaching: Open the account from the control panel so client terminal controls are available. Use a known demo account for a first test. Confirm the EA is suitable for the account and exact broker symbol.

Library and upload: Attach EA opens the library selector. Choose an existing EA or use the upload/library controls to add a supported compiled MT5 EA package. Refresh library after uploading. Source code alone is not a compiled executable.

Symbol and timeframe: Enter the exact broker symbol, including any suffix, and select the timeframe used by the EA. These settings belong to the isolated EA terminal; changing the Web Trader chart later does not change them.

Input parameters: Review the loaded EA input names and values. Parameter meaning comes from the EA author. For the tutorial EA, use the documented bounded demo settings, enable its demo-trading input explicitly and limit it to one position.

Confirmation and billing: The acknowledgement confirms that the selected EA can trade and incurs separate EA charges. Review the account number before Attach EA. Each EA runs in its own isolated terminal and is billed separately according to runtime and resources.

After attachment: Open the EA-specific logs. Confirm successful initialization, account, symbol, timeframe and input values. An initialization error can coexist with a running terminal process; fix that error before expecting trades.
