Pending order types and entry price
A pending order waits for its broker trigger condition; it is not an open position yet.
How it works
Buy Limit: A buy limit is normally placed below the current ask to buy at a lower price. Enter the required entry price and choose the buy side of the ticket.
Sell Limit: A sell limit is normally placed above the current bid to sell at a higher price. Enter the required entry price and choose the sell side.
Buy Stop and Sell Stop: A buy stop is normally above the current ask; a sell stop is normally below the current bid. Broker minimum distances and execution rules apply. A trigger does not guarantee execution at exactly the displayed entry price.
Review and track: Confirm the order type, entry, volume and protection. After acceptance, look in Pending. When triggered, inspect Positions; when cancelled or otherwise completed, refresh Closed positions and check the broker record.
Cancel pending: Use the cancellation control on the intended pending row. Cancellation removes that pending instruction; it does not close a separate position. If the order triggers while cancellation is in flight, refresh the account and inspect the result.
