Indicators and drawing tools
Chart overlays help inspect prices and do not create broker orders.
How it works
Indicators: Open Indicators in the chart toolbar to choose and configure an available study. Its period and other settings apply to that study, not to the broker account or attached EA. Remove an overlay from its chart controls when it is no longer needed.
Drawings: Select a drawing tool, then place its points on the chart. Selection, line and shape tools operate on chart annotations. Drawing a line at a price does not create a pending order, stop loss or take profit.
Edit and remove: Select an annotation before changing or deleting it. Lock and visibility controls affect drawings; they do not lock trading or hide positions from the broker. Chart annotations do not change actual orders.
Scrollable toolbar: When the tool rail is taller than the available chart area, scroll within it. Its scrollbar follows the selected theme. On a narrow screen, enlarge the chart panel before working with drawing handles.
SMA and EMA: SMA is the simple moving average of close prices; EMA weights recent closes more heavily. Enable each checkbox independently and set its period from 2 to 500 bars. Defaults are SMA 20 and EMA 50.
Bollinger Bands: BB uses a moving-average envelope with two standard deviations. Its default period is 20. The checkbox toggles the study; changing the period recalculates its chart overlay.
RSI and MACD: RSI defaults to 14 bars and accepts a period from 2 to 500. MACD uses the displayed fixed 12 / 26 / 9 settings. Their indicator values are calculations from the loaded closes, not broker trade instructions.
Select, line and ray: Select drawings lets you select or move an existing annotation. Trend line connects two points; Ray extends a two-point direction. Horizontal line marks a price, and Vertical line marks a time.
Rectangle and Fibonacci: Rectangle marks a region between two chart points. Fibonacci retracement uses two anchors and draws the configured retracement levels between them. Neither tool creates a position or pending order.
Undo, redo and delete: Undo drawing reverses the last drawing edit; Redo restores it. The keyboard shortcuts are Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Shift+Z. Delete selected drawing removes the selected annotation; Clear drawings clears the drawing set. These operations affect annotations only.
Lock, hide and Done: Lock drawings prevents editing them. Hide drawings temporarily hides their display. Done closes the Indicators menu. Closing the menu leaves enabled indicators on the chart. Indicator settings are saved locally for the account.
