Copier trade filters

Filters decide which master trades are eligible for copying: magic number, comment, side and volume.

How it works

For a magic-number or comment filter, None disables that filter, Copy includes matching trades and Ignore excludes matching trades. The comment filter needs a non-empty value when active.

Side selects all trades, buys only or sells only. Volume filtering checks the master trade size against the entered range. The minimum must be non-negative; the maximum must be positive and at least the minimum.

A trade excluded by a filter is not the same as a broker rejection. If a trade is missing, first compare its properties with the saved filters, then inspect Results for recorded execution attempts.

Controls and settings

Filter by magic number

None disables magic-number filtering. Copy includes matching master trades; Ignore excludes matching master trades. The new form defaults to None.

Magic number

Non-negative master magic number to match when a magic-number filter is active. Zero is allowed. This value is ignored when the filter mode is None.

Filter by comment

None disables comment filtering. Copy includes matching master comments; Ignore excludes matching comments. Enter a non-empty comment value when active.

Comment contains

Matched anywhere in the master's comment, ignoring case.

Trade side

Copy all accepts both Buy and Sell trades. Buy only or Sell only limits copying to that direction. The new form defaults to Copy all.

Filter by lot size

Only master trades whose volume is in this range are copied.

Min lots

Minimum master volume, in lots, accepted by the volume filter. It must be zero or greater and no larger than the maximum.

Max lots

Maximum master volume, in lots, accepted by the volume filter. It must be positive and at least the minimum.
