Expert Advisors: attach, run and stop

An Expert Advisor runs in its own isolated terminal container. Select the EA, its trading symbol, timeframe and inputs before starting it.

How it works

The reference terminal must be connected. Choose a system preset, select a previously uploaded EA or upload a compatible .ex4, .ex5 or ZIP package. The EA must match the terminal platform.

Trading Symbol must match a symbol offered by the broker. Chart Timeframe sets the chart used to attach the EA. Input parameter names and values must match the inputs expected by the compiled EA.

Defaults reloads the selected EA input defaults. Add Param adds a name/value row; removing a row removes that custom input. Clear removes all custom inputs, so the EA uses its compiled defaults.

Attach & Start provisions an isolated container, starts MetaTrader, authenticates with the broker and attaches the EA to its chart. Wait for the displayed result and inspect Experts Log for initialization messages.

Stop EA stops the isolated EA instance. Start EA starts it again and requires a connected reference terminal. Stopping the EA does not instruct the broker to close its open trades.
