EA resource guards and billing
Each EA is billed as an additional terminal. CPU and RAM use can increase its charge, and configured resource guards can stop it.
How it works
The CPU guard is a percentage; the RAM guard is in MB. The form defaults are 20% CPU and 500 MB RAM. It accepts CPU limits from 5 to 100 and RAM limits from 100 to 2048.
When the resource ratio is at or below 2.0 times the reference terminal, the standard base rate applies. Above that level, the documented multiplier policy scales charges with resource consumption.
The EA card displays CPU, RAM, billing multiplier, rate, start/stop times and metered usage. Inspect those values and the stop reason if an EA stops unexpectedly.

Limit Guard: 20% CPU / 500MB
The CPU guard is a percentage; the RAM guard is in MB. The form defaults are 20% CPU and 500 MB RAM. It accepts CPU limits from 5 to 100 and RAM limits from 100 to 2048.
Max CPU Guard Threshold (%)
Maximum CPU guard threshold, in percent. Default 20; accepted range 5–100. Exceeding the configured guard stops the EA.
Max RAM Guard Limit (MB)
Maximum RAM guard limit, in MB. Default 500; accepted range 100–2048. Exceeding the configured guard stops the EA.
Metered
The EA card displays CPU, RAM, billing multiplier, rate, start/stop times and metered usage. Inspect those values and the stop reason if an EA stops unexpectedly.
