Start your first trade copier.
This tutorial shows how to start a trade copier, test a demo trade, and verify the copied opening and closing.
- 0:09
Prepare the two demo accounts.
Open M R P C dot pro and sign in. Start in Your Terminals. Prepare two connected demo accounts: a master that sends trades, and a follower that receives the copies. Here, I have given the accounts a shared Copier Demo label and filtered the list to show only this pair. Check their account numbers, broker servers, and Connected status before creating the copier. Both accounts in this walkthrough use demo funds.

Find New Trade Copier.
Scroll down below Your Terminals to Active Trade Copiers. The New Trade Copier button is at the upper right of that section. Click it to open the setup form.
- 0:49
Choose the master and follower.
In the setup form, select your source account under Copy From, and the destination under Copy To. Use the account numbers and broker names to check your selection. The master sends the trades; the follower receives them. Selecting these accounts prepares the form. The copier starts only when you click Start Copier.
- 1:11
Choose how trades are sized.
Risk Settings controls the size of each copied trade. For this demonstration, choose Fixed lot and enter zero point zero one. This gives us a simple requested follower size to check. The follower symbol's minimum, maximum and volume step still matter, so inspect the actual copied volume after the trade opens.
- 1:35
Understand the other sizing modes.
Lot multiplier scales the master's volume by your chosen value. Balance multiplier uses the follower to master balance ratio, multiplied by your value. Equity multiplier uses equity instead. Fixed balance multiplier lets you supply a reference master balance. These settings control trade size; equal lot sizes do not necessarily mean equal financial risk across different instruments or broker contracts.
- 2:05
Review pending orders and protection.
Expand Pending Order Settings. Copy pending orders determines whether a waiting master order is copied before it fills. When it is off, copying starts when the master order becomes a trade. Copy expiry time applies to copied pending orders. The stop loss and take profit options control whether the master's levels are copied, adjusted, or replaced by fixed distances.
- 2:31
Keep this first test simple.
For this first market trade, leave pending order copying off. Review the stop loss and take profit switches rather than assuming they are enabled. Distance fields are shown in points. We will close the demonstration trade manually on the master and verify that the follower closes too.
- 2:52
Review volume controls.
Expand Advanced Settings. Force minimum lot raises a calculated volume that is below the follower's minimum instead of skipping the trade. Force maximum lot caps a volume above the maximum. Contract alignment adjusts lot calculations for different contract sizes. These options can affect the final follower volume, so compare the resulting trade with your settings.
- 3:18
Copy new trades in the same direction.
Leave reverse copying off to keep buys as buys and sells as sells. Leave Copy existing trades off so starting the copier does not copy positions that are already open. Most importantly for this walkthrough, leave Strict close off. With Strict close enabled, the follower waits for its own stop loss or take profit instead of closing when the master closes.
- 3:43
Use advanced controls deliberately.
The remaining advanced controls cover additional lot adjustment, magic numbers, a delay before copying, and limits on the opening price difference. Leave those at the displayed defaults for this first test. Change them later when you have a specific copying rule to implement, and check the Results history after every change.
- 4:06
Choose which trades are copied.
Trade Filters can include or exclude trades by magic number or comment, restrict copying to buys or sells, or limit the master's allowed trade volume. A filter that excludes your test trade will prevent a copy. For this walkthrough, leave the filters unrestricted and allow both buys and sells.
- 4:28
Start and inspect the copier.
Review the two accounts and the settings, then click Start Copier. Wait for the new copier to appear as Running. Expand its details and check that both terminal cards are connected. Keep the copier running while you perform the opening and closing test.
- 4:46
Open the master web trader.
Expand the copier row to reveal the two terminal cards. On the Master Terminal card, click Open Master. This opens the master web trader in a new browser tab.
- 4:59
Check the master account.
In the new web trader tab, check the account number at the top and the Connected status. This is our master demo account. Its Positions panel is empty before the demonstration. Keep this tab open, then return to the dashboard.
- 5:16
Open the follower web trader.
On the dashboard, use the Follower Terminal card and click Open Follower. This opens a separate web trader tab for the account that receives copied trades.
- 5:29
Check the follower, then return to master.
Check the follower account number and Connected status at the top. Its Positions panel is also empty. Keep both web trader tabs open so you can compare the result. Now switch back to the master tab. Place the demonstration order only on the master; the copier will create the follower trade.
- 5:51
Review the master order.
In the master web trader, choose EUR U S D and enter zero point zero one lots. Click Review buy order. Check that the confirmation names the master demo account, then confirm.
- 6:06
Check the master position.
Wait for the position to appear on the master. Here, one buy position is open for zero point zero one lots of EUR U S D. Now switch to the follower to check the copy.
- 6:20
Verify the copied position.
Switch to the follower web trader and find the new position. Compare its symbol, direction and volume with the master trade and your copier settings. The follower has its own ticket and execution price. Do not expect its ticket or price to be identical to the master's.
- 6:40
Match the opening in Results.
Return to the dashboard and click Results for this copier. Find the demonstration trade and expand its row. The opening record links the master ticket to the follower ticket, shows the execution delay, and reports any errors. Here, the copied trade opened with no errors. These records explain what happened to this particular trade.
- 7:03
Close on the master.
Return to the master web trader. Click the close icon at the right end of the demonstration position row. Wait for the position to disappear. Keep the copier running so it can process the master close, then switch to the follower.
- 7:19
Confirm the follower closed.
Confirm that the matching follower position is no longer open. In this demonstration, both accounts now show zero open positions. Next, return to the copier Results to inspect the recorded closing event and its linked tickets.
- 7:37
Review the complete trade history.
Open Results again and refresh. Use the Closed filter, or search for the ticket, to find the completed trade. Expand the row. Here, the timeline shows the master and follower close prices, their net profit, and the close delay. These prices can differ because the accounts execute separately. Profit is reported in each account currency. Review the opening and closing events together with the linked tickets. Increase the recent record limit if the trade is outside the current list.
- 8:08
Read errors before repeating a trade.
The Failed slash Errors filter is empty in this successful demonstration. If another trade does not copy as expected, select this filter and read its diagnostic details. Check both terminal connections, the selected accounts, symbol availability, volume limits, and your filters. Check the follower positions before opening another master trade, so you do not create an extra position while investigating the first one.
- 8:37
Finish with the accounts checked.
After confirming both demonstration positions are closed, pause the test copier if you do not want it to copy further trades. Your repeatable workflow is: choose the accounts, review the settings, start the copier, test the opening and closing, and verify both events in Results.
