Terminal groups

Sort terminals into named, coloured sections and move them between groups.

How it works

Above Your Terminals, turn on Group terminals. Groups and this preference follow your account across devices. Turning it off keeps your groups and does not stop terminals.

Controls and settings

New group

Choose New group, enter a unique name of up to 40 characters, choose a colour and create it. If terminals are selected, the new group includes that selection. The optional Group field in New Terminal assigns a successfully connected terminal to an existing group.

Move to group

Open a terminal’s Actions menu and choose Move to group, or select several terminals and use the selection bar. Choose Ungrouped to remove membership. On desktop, drag the row handle; dragging a selected row moves the selection. Use Undo in the move notification to restore the previous assignment.

Manage groups

Open Manage to rename groups, change colours, reorder them, or collapse and expand all sections. The group header menu also offers these actions; Alt+Up and Alt+Down reorder a focused group header. Collapsing a section only hides its rows.

Search

Search matches account logins, servers and group names; combine it with the platform filter. Matching groups open temporarily during search. The shown/total count distinguishes visible matches from all group members. A continued header means that the same group extends onto the next page.

Actions

Start all and Stop all in a group menu act on eligible terminals across the entire group, including members hidden by search or pagination. To target specific terminals, use their checkboxes and the selection bar instead. Review the resulting states and errors; grouping itself does not change terminal billing.

If Copy trades into this group is available, it opens a separate copier setup for the group’s accounts. Grouping alone never starts trade copying. Review the master, followers, sizing and charges before starting any copier.

Delete group

Delete group removes the group only: its terminals move to Ungrouped and are neither stopped nor deleted. Deleting a terminal is a separate action. A terminal deleted through the control panel loses its group membership; adding it again does not guarantee restoration of the old group.
