Run an EA from the control panel.
Run an Expert Advisor from the MetaRPC control panel. In this tutorial, you will find the terminal Actions menu, select an uploaded program, configure a bounded demo run, and watch its real trade appear in Web Trader. You will also locate Columns, match Ticket and Comment, inspect the EA’s separate logs, confirm the closed trade, and stop the EA. Before starting, have a connected demo account and a compiled MT5 EA. Each EA is billed separately from the account terminal.

Find Actions in the control panel.
Start in the control panel. On this full screen, find Your Terminals and your connected demo account. The Actions button is the three dots at the far right of the terminal row, beside Connected. Use the terminal row, below the group heading. We highlight it here before opening its menu.
- 0:54
Find your connected demo terminal.
In Your Terminals, use the search field to find the demo terminal. Confirm the login number, broker server and connected state. Use the terminal Actions menu and choose Show details to expand it. These checks matter because the EA will trade the account you select here.
- 1:12
Open Attach EA from the terminal.
The terminal’s Actions menu includes Attach EA. You can also use Attach EA in the expanded Attached Expert Advisors section. Both routes start the attachment for this same account. Keep the account number visible and check it again in the form.

Upload or select your program.
Use Upload Custom EA or ZIP to add your compiled MT5 program. Once uploaded, select it under My Uploaded EAs. We use MetaRPC Tutorial Demo. Its built-in safeguards reject live accounts and require an exact demo login before it can open a trade. A source M Q five file must be compiled before it can run.
- 1:55
Choose the broker symbol and timeframe.
Choose the exact symbol offered by your broker, including any suffix, and select H one. These determine the chart where the EA is attached. They do not change the program’s strategy. Check them again in the EA’s startup log after attachment.
- 2:12
Configure a bounded demo run.
Enter the sample inputs in declaration order. Enable trading, enter the selected demo login, set the opening delay to ten seconds, the holding period to ninety seconds, and Max Trades to one. Use a new magic number for this run. The sample fixes the trade size at zero point zero one lots and refuses to run alongside other open positions or pending orders.
- 2:38
Check resource limits and separate billing.
Expand Resource Guard and Multiplier Billing. The CPU and memory limits can stop an EA that exceeds them. Each EA is billed as an additional terminal, and higher resource use can increase the charge. Minimum runtime billing may apply. Review these settings, then choose Attach and Start EA.
- 2:59
Wait for attachment to complete.
Wait while the isolated terminal starts and connects to the broker. The success screen identifies the new EA instance and shows E U R U S D on H one. Choose Done and View in Dashboard. The EA card shows its running state, CPU, memory and metered charge. Next, verify the trading result rather than relying only on this status.

Watch the order appear in Web Trader.
Open Web Trader for this same connected demo account. After the configured delay, Positions changes to one and this buy appears automatically. Its volume is zero point zero one lots. Ticket and Comment are already visible in the table. The tutorial comment identifies the sample, and the ticket lets us match this exact position to the EA log. We did not place the order manually.
- 3:49
Find Columns on the full trading screen.
First locate Columns on the full Web Trader screen. It is at the far right of the lower trading panel, on the same strip as Positions, Pending, and Closed positions. Ticket and Comment are now visible by default. Open Columns to choose additional fields or hide fields you do not need. Match the position ticket and the tutorial comment to the EA log. These controls change the table display; they do not send an order.
- 4:16
Read the isolated EA’s own log.
Back in the control panel, choose Experts Log on this EA’s card. The popup names its instance identifier. Filtering for OPEN shows the broker response and a verified position ticket. That ticket matches the one in Web Trader. Use Terminal Journal for this isolated terminal’s broker connection and startup events; the main account’s journal is a different log.
- 4:41
Confirm the automatic close.
After ninety seconds, the sample closes only its own position. Positions returns to zero. Open Closed positions in Web Trader and refresh the history. Match the Ticket and Comment with the position we just watched and the EA opening log. Check the actual entry price, close price and result for this run. A demo trade is not guaranteed to be profitable.
- 5:06
Stop the process and check the final state.
Copy useful EA logs before stopping, because its separate terminal folder is removed. Choose Stop EA on the card after confirming that no tutorial position remains open. The state changes to Stopped and the Web Trader Experts count becomes zero. Stopping an EA does not close existing trades. Remove EA is available for a stopped instance; removal does not undo completed trades or erase its billing history.
- 5:34
You can verify every step.
The control panel manages the EA’s isolated process and billing. Web Trader shows the account’s trades. Use the same account number and matching position ticket to connect the two views. Start with a bounded demo, inspect the logs, and stop the EA when your test is complete.
